Trouble Shooting Poor Temperature Regulation

Model LV3
Description  
Cools more than 5 degrees past its displayed set temperature
  1. Verify that your thermostats electrical connections are clean and tight.
  2. Verify that your units placement and mounting are optimum per the installation section of it's manual.
  3. Replace unit. There are no user serviceable parts.
   
No fan or cooling when expected.
  1. Refer to wiring to verify that it is according to the unit's wiring diagram. Verify that all connections are to your thermostat are clean and tight.
  2. If room temperature is lower than 40F the unit will not close it's switch and call for fan or cooling.
  3. Rotate the dial to its lowest setting. fan or cooling should operate immediately.
   
Cooling Test
  1. Slowly rotate the dial toward its highest setting. Listen carefully for a small click near room temperature. When it is heard, the unit should switch off fan or cooling immediately.
   
Advanced Trouble Shooting
  1. This thermostat is designed to switch hazardous voltage. Qualified service personnel may use the following information to trouble shoot the system.
  2. The LV3 uses a normally open single pole snap-action switch to control a fan or cooling system. It should open when cooler than its set temperature, close when warmer than its set temperature.
