My heating and cooling are running together on my new GEO, why?
If you’ve just installed your GEO and you find that your heat and cooling are running simultaneously the culprit is likely the yellow Y1-W1 jumper on the back. To correct this, follow the instructions below:
- Remove the thermostat from its backplate
- Move the yellow Y1-W1 Jumper so that it only covers one prong
- Press the reset button.
- Return the thermostat to the wall

These instructions do not apply to heat pump systems. In such systems the jumper must cover both prongs.
