What is the air filter reminder, why is it flashing?

When you see the word “Filter” flashing in the display of the thermostat, it is simply a reminder to change the filter in the blower of your heating\cooling system (totally separate from thermostat). Please refer to the manufacturer of your heating\cooling system to find out how to change this filter.  This feature does not affect the operation of thermostat in any way.

If you need to reset the FILTER Usage Monitor:

        1. Hit “Menu”
        2. Hit “Scroll” twice – will say “Set / Review Filter Usage”.
        3. Hit “Yes”. Will say “Filter Usage Count”.  The Filter Usage count will now appear.
        4.  Touch “Next”.
        5.  “Reset?”   will appear in the display.
        6. At this point, you have a choice of 2 different buttons.

          • Touch “Next” to advance to the filter monitor menu without resetting the counter.  “Limit Hours” will be flashing.
        7. Here, it will say “Adjust Value Filter Limit” and the # Hours will be flashing.
          • You can leave it where it is or Use the Up & Down buttons to set it anywhere between 1 hour and 2000 hours.
          • If you would like to completely disable this feature, set to 0.
        8. Hit “Yes” to accept the new value.
